Fume Hoods - Exhausing Hazardous Fumes, Vapors and Particles

Biobase Fume hoods

Fume hoods are essential engineering controls used in laboratories and industrial facilities to ensure the safety of workers and the environment. These enclosed workspaces effectively contain and exhaust hazardous fumes, vapors, and airborne particles that may be generated during various chemical, biological, or physical processes. The primary purpose of fume hoods is to protect laboratory personnel from exposure to toxic, noxious, or otherwise harmful substances by reducing the risk of inhalation or skin contact. By creating a negative pressure within the hood, fumes are drawn away from the user and directed to an exhaust system, preventing their dispersion into the environment. The use of an external exhaust system is a main difference to Biological Safety Cabinets.

Biobase Fume Hoods A Series

Internal Size: 820 x 670 x 730 mm to 1620 x 670 x 730 mm (model dependent)

Work Surface Height: 850 mm (stainless steel, powder-coated); 

Airflow velocity: 0.3 to 0.8 m s-1; exhaust duct 4 m, 300 mm ID; centrifugal blower, speed adjustable (9 levels)

Front window: electric, 5 mm glass, opening height (max.): 520  mm

Lamps: LED Lamps (1x 8W to 1x 16 W); 2x UV lamp

Power Supply 230 V AC, 50/60 Hz, Standard Sockets 2x (waterproof, 500W)

Led display panel, Water tap, Gas tap, Water sink, Base cabinet, Power failure memory function

Optional: HEPA filter, active carbon filter
