Rhizobox Manipulation & Imaging Stands. We build custom rhizobox stands to hold rhizoboxes at an angle during
Holding the soil-filled rhizoboxes at an angle, rather than on a flat surface, is key to avoiding soil falling out of the top of the rhizobox, or at least being disturbed, when plants are still protruding (preventing effective soil coverage) during ongoing experiments. Stands are built to fit Vienna Scientific Rhizoboxes, with a special interlocking pattern at the bottom to prevent the boxes slipping off the stand while being worked on. Standard angle of the stand is 30° (from horizontal), custom angles on request. The stands are produced of either 4/5 mm PMMA (for less heavy rhizoboxes), or 5-10 mm PP (for heavier rhizoboxes over ~ 2.5-3 kg). Side panels of stands are connected with aluminium spacers. We build cost effective, versatile stands to support the rhizoboxes during imaging and manipulation, get in contact and/or select as an accessory via the Rhizobox Configuration Form.
