Biobase Safety Cabinets - Reliable Contamination Control

Biobase biosafety cabinet

Biosafety Cabinets, also known as Biological Safety Cabinets or BSCs, serve as essential tools in various scientific fields such as microbiology, virology, immunology, and molecular biology. Their primary function is to provide a reliable, controlled environment for handling hazardous materials, including infectious agents, toxins, and biohazards. These cabinets provide a critical level of containment, ensuring that laboratory personnel are protected from accidental exposure to harmful agents. Using airflow principles, BSCs direct potentially contaminated air away from the operator, reducing the risk of inhalation or contact with hazardous materials. In addition to protecting personnel, biosafety cabinets also protect the samples and experiments being handled. They maintain a sterile work environment free of contamination - minimizing the risk of cross-contamination and ensuring the integrity of sensitive research and (bacterial and fungal) cultures and plant and animal specimens. Environmental protection is another important aspect of Biological Safety Cabinets. They filter and trap harmful particles, preventing the release of biohazardous materials into the laboratory and its surroundings.

Airflow volume, inflow: 230 m3 h-1; down flow: 438 m3 h-1; exhaust 230 m3 h-1

Front window: manual and electric, 5mm glass, anti-UV; opening height (max.): 350  mm; safe operation height opening: 200 mm

ULPA Filter: 2x, efficiency for 0.12µm, particles over 99.99995%

Lamps: UV lamp 15W, LED Lamps (2x 8W)

Power Supply 230 V AC, 50/60 Hz, Eu  Standard Sockets 2x

Colour touch screen, Alarm for abnormal air flow, glass door not at safe height, power failure

Optional: Arm rest, formalin sterilizer, IR-sterilizer, water tap, gas tap
