Rootboxes in the vSI Online store

The standard rhizoboxes for root observations are available at A5, A4 or A3 sizes (outer dimensions), are 3 cm deep, and hold a perforated bottom for water drainage. Front (transparent) and back plates (black) are removable to allow for soil filling, root extraction, manipulation. The transparent front allows to observe the root system as it grows. Optional, a central divison ("Split-box") design allows to grow two plants per rhizobox, maximizing space efficiency and allowing for the implementation of different treatments. The root boxes are made from durable PMMA (Acryl) and arrive unassembled with the protective foil on (to avoid scratches during transport). Assembly is easy and does not require special technical skills. For custom rhizobox designs, and larger rhizobox orders, please refer to our customization form.

The rhizobox racks holds 5 rhizoboxes each. Racks are available via the store for the standard rhizoboxes in sizes A3, A4 and A5 (3 cm thick) - please make sure to select the size according to rhizoboxes. Standard racks have gaps in-betwenn the rhizoboxes and allows to place and remove the rhizobxes individually. The angled design (40°) facilitates root growth along the rhizoboxes' transparent front plate for observation. Rhizoboxes not included.
