The proposed NextMR-IAA project aims to develop an automatized MR image acquisition system for permanent operation in situ, and an accompanying machine learning-based image-processing pipeline allowing for high-throughput root/hyphae tracking (segmentation) and root classification, and soil water content estimations.
We are happy to announce that we developed a new imaging platform for minirhizotron systems. The new module will be used for all unidirectional types of MR camera systems - from manual indexing handle-systems to fully automated MR cameras. This will allow using a standardized user interface for all models and thus enhance usability for customers. Happy root imaging!
